Office Hours are by appointment only. This reduces waiting time. However, patients do not become ill on schedule and emergencies do occur, causing occasional unavoidable delays. We try to adhere to our schedule as much as possible.
If you are a new patient, please arrive at least 10 minutes early to fill out a detailed health questionnaire. Office visits for established patients usually take 10 to 20 minutes. Please let our office know if you are due to have a complete physical.
Cancellation of Appointments:
If you cannot keep an appointment, please try to inform us as soon as possible. This courtesy will allow us to give that time to another patient.
Electrocardiograms, pulmonary function tests, urine analysis and stool occult blood tests are done in the office. Other specialized tests and Radiological procedures are performed through NYU Medical Center and most results are available within 1-3 days.
The doctor/patient relationship is a privileged one. We do not give out information about you without your consent. Please do not ask for telephone prescriptions unless the doctor has recently examined you for that particular problem. Patients taking medications chronically are usually given enough medication and automatic refills so they will not run out of medication before their next office visit or yearly physical. We prefer that routine calls are made during regular office hours.
Our fees are very reasonable and comparable to those charged by other physicians in the area. Laboratory studies and procedures performed outside the office are billed entirely separately by the facilities rendering the services.
